BIG CANOE ADVENTURE!

On 3 August 2022 four members took part in the Big Canoe Adventure organised by Dorset Federation.  We met at a remote location on the edge of Poole Harbour and, after kitting out with buoyancy aids and receiving safety information, we headed out to sea.  With 10 of us plus an instructor in our canoe, we soon got coordinated with our paddling (well, almost!) and off we paddled to Brownsea Island.  After a short stop on the beach we continued our journey and paddled on around other islands and were back to the start after a fantastic 2.5 hour journey.  We had a fabulous time, learning a new skill, laughing a lot and even singing a few sea shanties!  We would definitely recommend this and hope we'll be able to do it again soon.
